Gas Turbine Room

The VALOUR Class ships are the first large warships to use water-jet propulsion. Power to drive the impeller is provided by the GE LM2500 gas turbine that produces 20 megawatts. It can run independently or in conjunction with the diesel engines, allowing the ship to reach a speed of approximately 30 knots.
