Flag Officer Commanding in Chief Western Naval Command, Vice Admiral Girish Luthra paid a courtesy call to Flag Officer Fleet, Rear Admiral B.K. Mhlana at the Fleet Command Headquarters.

The guard of honour under command of Chief of Fleet Staff, Rear Admiral (JG) D.G. Jamieson welcomed Vice Admiral Luthra, accompanied by Director Fleet Logistics, Rear Admiral (JG) D.M. Mkhonto and the Defence Advisor Captain Manjit M. Thomas with a general salute before proceeding to the office of Flag Officer Fleet. Points under discussion included the current state, vision, challenges and future plans and relations for both navies.
