The learners

who encouraged all the leaners present to listen and pay
attention to what was being presented to them. Capt H.T.
Morake also welcomed the learners and gave them a brief
over view of the day before he handed to Director Naval
Personnel, R Adm (JG) A.E. Kubu, who pointed out to the
leaners that the SA Navy is a career opportunity and not
just a job, as it needs a person with passion to fulfil
daily tasks on his/her specified career.
SLt P.M
Kuhlase and PO T. Selepe conducted the presentations to
the leaners about the various careers in the SA Navy as
Cdr O Pfuhl handled the questions about the reserve
forces. Simultaneously Lt F.T. Selhako was also present
to explain what the (Maritime Reaction Squadron) MRS
entails and what do they do on a daily basis.
The
learners interacted well with the SA Navy personnel that
were present as they asked relevant questions about the
various careers in the SA Navy and the SANDF as a whole.
There were nine schools in total and some FET colleges
who attended this briefing from Tuesday until Friday.
The
Department of Education together with some other
councillors and the Deputy Mayor were also present to
observe as the learners absorbed the information
presented to them by the SA Navy.
The Peoples
Navy is thankful to the Endumeni Municipality and the
Department of Education for the opportunity to let them
present to the schools in Dundee.
