Remembrance Day at Grey Boys High School

Lt L. Starling, the acting Officer Commanding of Naval Station Port Elizabeth, and CPO R.J. Volminck, a member from the unit, attended the annual Remembrance Day Service held at Grey Boys High School in Port Elizabeth.

It was a wreath-laying ceremony where NSPE laid a wreath along with Grey Boys High and Junior Schools, Collegiate High and Junior Schools, Old Greys, Joint OPS Tactical HQ Eastern Cape, Air Force Station PE, Area Military Health Unit, Prince Alfred Guard, South African Police Services, SA Legion, Memorable Order of Tin Hats, SA Jewish Ex-Service League, Naval Officers Association, Gunners Association, Sappers Association, SAAF Association, ANC War Veterans League, Naval Association of S.A. and to Royal Naval Association, RAF Association, SA Sea Cadets Association and SA Sea Cadets Corps.

A talk was given by the Head Master of Grey Boys High School in remembrance of the men who lost their lives during the war. The Grey High School Orchestra played the Last Post and ended with the Reveille.
