The evening was a glamorous affair with honourary guests kitted in their formal eveningwear and religious attire. FOF (with Mrs Higgs) and Chaplain Gwazilitye were on hand to welcome the guests on arrival, with guests mingling and getting acquainted in the lobby area. The splendid evening culminated with a passionate address by FOF in which he emphasised the crucial role of the Chaplains in our organisation stating, “As Warrant Officers are the custodians of discipline in the SA Navy, Chaplains are the custodians of ethics in the National Defence Force and it is their role to guard and inspire young and old members within the organisation”.
