While on course, Officers and Warrant Officers may wear side caps with Dress
No 4 when going on staff visits.
Description of Short Action Working Dress (AWD)
- Short-sleeved blue shirt.
- Rank insignia on shoulders.
- Black on blue name-tapes on right panel.
- Qualification badge on left panel.
- Mustering badge on left panel.
- Blue AWD shorts.
- Black cotton web belt.
- Black sandals.
Short Action Working Dress is Worn on the Following Occasions.
- At training units whilst busy with seamanship.
- On board ships.
Protection Force
- Baseball cap.
- Beany optional in winter only when not on duty at high profile locations
such as Admiralty House.
- Cold weather jacket with rank insignia optional in winter.
- Black anklets and black boots must be worn when on duty.
Submariners
- Baseball cap.
- Beany optional in winter.
- Black jersey with rank insignia on shoulders is to be worn only by
submariners and divers.
Members Under Training at Naval Units
- Dress No 4.
- White leather belt.
- White anklets.
- All members under training must wear their jerseys tucked in.
